The Sights and Sounds of NorthPark Center: Dallas String Quartet

With such an accommodating and beautiful space, NorthPark Center has the opportunity and the privilege to play host to many talented musicians. One in particular is the Dallas String Quartet.

This Saturday, April 7, the Dallas String Quartet will perform live at NorthPark from 3 to 6 pm. The set will feature their take on the newest Adele and Coldplay songs. You don’t want to miss your chance to experience the electrifying music from this unique ensemble! In fact, they are they only one of their kind in the Southwest.

Since 2007, the Dallas String Quartet has been playing together and sharing their love of music. The group consists of award winning violinist and founder, Ion Zanca; cellist Gaston Colloca; and violinists Jorge Caldelari and Tatiana Glava. They perform as a traditional classical quartet or as an electric quartet, depending on the audience.

NorthPark shoppers as well as former president George W. Bush and players of the Dallas Cowboys have recently enjoyed the music of the Dallas String Quartet. The group appeals to many different tastes in music – traditional or contemporary, amplified or intimate, genres ranging from jazz to tango, classical to classic rock.

Their most recent album, “Red”, features the group’s unique, electric sound. Check their calendar to see when you can catch a performance. At most performances, you can meet the members of the group, buy an album and even have it autographed by the musicians themselves.

NorthPark Center thoroughly enjoys hosting events to be enjoyed by its patrons. As you’re walking into a movie at AMC Theatres or browsing through Nordstrom, we love having beautiful music be a part of your NorthPark experience. Make sure you are at NorthCourt between 3 to 6pm on April 7th, so you can catch this exciting concert from the Dallas String Quartet – it is sure to be unlike anything you’ve ever heard before!
